shrimp spring roll!

This week we’re featuring ‘Sinigang na Hipon’ fried lumpia. Sinigang is a classic Filipino tamarind-based soup, sour and savory in flavor. It can be prepared with different meats and vegetables– we’re using shrimp, or ‘hipon’, which will be minced and cooked with ginger, scallion, sesame oil and tamarind sauce. Try them this Saturday!

The veggie truffled adobo mushroom lumpia was a hit! A bulk of the mushrooms in the spring roll were from Bulich Mushroom Farm– delicious cremini, shitake, and oyster mushrooms currently in season at Greenmarket. Will have to run this special again soon. But for now, Neil is cooking up another special for next Saturday’s market!
